Wings over Gatineau - Vintage Wings of Canada Airshow
On September 18, 2010, Vintage Wings of Canada is commemorating Canada’s Victoria Cross Recipients of World Wars One and Two by hosting the "Wings Over Gatineau" airshow. A Victoria Cross Flight will be assembled for the first time (ever?!) featuring the Canadian Warplane Heritage Avro Lancaster (Andrew Mynarski VC), their Consolidated Vickers PBY 5A Canso (David Hornell VC) and the Vintage Wings of Canada Goodyear FG-1D Corsair (Robert Hampton Gray VC). Vintage Wings hosts "Oshkosh North"
Concurrently, Vintage Wings will host the first Canadian Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) convention and fly-in. The EAA are most notable for the largest fly-in event in North America, AirVenture Oshkosh and Florida’s Sun ‘n’ Fun. Over 200 recreation aircraft are anticipated to visit the Executive Gatineau-Ottawa Airport over the course of the three-day event from September 17-19, 2010.
