About

FLY DAY

Fly Day is a fun and popular annual charity event organized by the Ottawa Flying Club and the Ottawa Rotary Club, the proceeds of which support the Ottawa Rotary Home, long known for offering short-term respite care to families who have children with disabilities.

2017 marks the 59th year for the annual Fly Day, an event that has thrilled many. Your pilot is a volunteer from the Ottawa Flying Club or other airports in the region.

It is a perfect opportunity to see your home from above, view the autumn colours and to learn about the Ottawa Flying Club while doing something great for your local community in supporting the groundbreaking Ottawa Rotary Home.

At Fly Day, members of the public have an opportunity to take a 20-minute tour of the city in a small airplane.

Tour tickets are $45 per person. The gates open at 8:30 a.m., and the first flight is at 9:00 a.m.
