Fly Day

FLY DAY 2015 – Saturday September 26, 2015

Fly Day is a fun and popular annual charity event organized by the Ottawa Flying Club and the Ottawa Rotary Club, the proceeds of which support the Ottawa Rotary Home, long known for offering short-term respite care to families who have children with disabilities.

2015 marks the 57th year for the annual FlyDay, an event that has thrilled many.

Your pilot will be a volunteer from the Ottawa Flying Club or other airports in the region.

It is a perfect opportunity to see your home from above, view the autumn colours and to learn about the Ottawa Flying Club while doing something great for your local community in supporting the groundbreaking Ottawa Rotary Home.

At Fly Day, members of the public have an opportunity to take a 20-minute tour of the city in a small airplane.

Tour tickets are $40 per person. The gates open at 8:30 a.m., and the first flight is at 9:00 a.m.

Sorry, there are no time slot reservations.

How many can fly at once and is there an age restriction? My wife , 3 year old son and I would all like to take a ride, together if possible.

Well all depends on weight & balance but if within weight restriction most planes can take 3 passengers. So your wife and son should be fine.
